Thanks to everyone who came along to our Visual Studio events, and all the great people we met at the Microsoft launch at NDC. For anyone who couldn’t make it along, I thought I’d take the opportunity to let you know what we covered, and signpost some useful content.
It all started back in September when we showed off some of the new functionality at our most recent “Microsoft Testing Stuff” Meetup. We facilitated this group to allow testing professionals who are working with Microsoft technologies to discuss topics, share ideas, learn and network with their peers. It’s aimed at anyone using Visual Studio testing tools such as Microsoft Test Manager, Coded UI, Web Performance and Load Test or are working with Microsoft technologies such as .NET, Azure, SharePoint, Dynamics etc. We have meet ups every few months on an evening in London and the group is now 100+ strong. If you’d like to sign up please click here. You can see a snap of a recent event below:
After the Meetup nFocus organised two dedicated testing events; the first at Microsoft’s London offices on the 15th of November, and the second at the Radisson Blu Birmingham on the 25th of November. You can see a couple of these events snaps below.
At each event we covered the following content:
- Introduction to the testing functionality within Visual Studio 2013 by Scott Summers – nFocus Director
- New web based test case management, test execution and charting with VS2013 by Giles Davies – Developer Technology Specialist at Microsoft
- Performance testing with VS2013 and Azure by Danny Crone, nFocus Technical Director
- Licensing overview for VS2013 by Nia Griffiths, Developer Tools Solution Specialist at Microsoft
You will notice I have included links to the PowerPoint decks for each of the sessions above.
Whilst we speak at a lot of Microsoft events, we were proud to be invited along to the official launch event at NDC in London on the 3rd of December. In these sessions we covered an introduction the testing functionality and performance testing with VS2013. I have included a few pictures below of our sessions.
